Sometimes it may be desirable or required to manually adjust the X, Y, or Z offsets of the second extruder head. The wizards generally complete these alignments to a degree necessary for success, however some advanced users may wish to further tune these offsets.
In this article, we'll cover using the SET_OFFSETS gcode command to manually and permanently adjust the X, Y, or Z offsets of the second extruder.
Don't forget the T1 command above before proceeding. You won't be able to view the current offsets without first making T1 active.
Note the X Y Z offsets as shown in the photo above. We recommend writing these down in case you need to restore them.
This changes the Z offset to -0.02. This means that T1 sits -0.02mm lower than T0. If you want to raise the distance of the nozzle, add to the existing offset.
Don't forget the T1 command above after setting a new offset, or it won't be applied, and will look incorrect in the next step.
